The championship phase of the cross-country season began last week at Palmer Park in Madison, Alabama. The entire season has led up to the Class 6A Section 6 Championships, as this qualifies our team for the AHSAA 6A State Championship.

After a brief weather delay, the conditions warmed up and the race began. The day started with the 6A Boys’ 5K at 11:30am. The boys won the race and were crowned 6A Section 6 Champions! The 6A Girls 5K was next at 12:30pm. The girls placed 2nd and punched their ticket to the AHSAA State Championship.

The AHSAA 6A State Championships take place on Saturday, November 11 at Oakville Indian Mound Park. The meet is set to begin at 8:30am.
