Last weekend at the Grissom Fall Invitational, the Raiders punched a few more tickets to state, adding six new individual state cuts and multiple relay cuts to the roster.

STATE CUT SWIMS

Grant McCloud had a huge day, adding two new state cuts: the 200 IM in 2:07.90 (3rd place) and the 500 Free in 5:16.75 (4th place).

Brady Weglage also picked up two new individual cuts, going 24.66 in the 50 Free and 1:05.86 in the 100 Back.

Archer Hammitt qualified in the 50 Free at 24.60, and Henry Allison added a new cut in the 200 IM at 2:20.63. Oliver Walker also qualified in the 200 IM, going 2:22.13.

On the girls' side, Reagan Earls picked up a second cut, going 59.50 in the 100 Free (3rd place) — she now holds state cuts in both the 50 and 100 Free.

RELAY CUTS

The boys' relays were the story of the meet, with both squads posting state-qualifying times:

Boys 200 Medley Relay — 1:52.18 (cut: 2:06.09), 3rd place
Boys 200 Free Relay — 1:39.63 (cut: 1:50.49), 3rd place

DIVING

Brady Weglage competed in the Boys 1M Diving event, placing 7th with a score of 300.40 (129.60 voluntary + 170.80 optional) — well above the 200.00 state cut. That gives Brady state cuts in swimming AND diving this meet.

LOOKING AHEAD

Six new individual state cuts plus relay cuts in a single meet is a fantastic step forward for this team. With McCloud, Weglage, Hammitt, Allison, Walker, and Earls all racking up qualifying times — and both boys relays now state-bound — the Raiders are building serious momentum heading into the back half of the season.

"Meet number two is in the books, and our swimmers were able to walk away with a handful of new individual state cuts and one new relay state cut! I think I can speak for both Coach John and myself when I say we are incredibly happy with where our swimmers are so far this season. At the same time, we still have a couple more meets to go before state, so we'll be working hard in the pool to prepare for these meets and see what other cuts we can add to the roster.
