Thank you so much for supporting Randolph Athletics! Revenue from ticket and concession sales are used to support ALL Randolph athletic programs.
The “Opt-Out Fee” (below) doesn’t just assure Randolph Athletics of maximizing our financial support for all programs, it also supports faculty members who work these shifts so please consider this option whether you volunteer or not.
Volunteers serve shifts for Middle School/JV/Varsity Football, Volleyball, and Cross Country events. Volunteering is a wonderful way to be a part of the Randolph Community, maximize financial support of all athletic programs, minimize participation fees, and support faculty members through the “Opt-Out Fee” process.
Please review the following three options each fall season family can choose from to fulfill their one required volunteer shift:
- Sign-up and serve one shift during the fall season (Fall Volunteer sign-up link).
- Secure someone else to fill your one shift and let us know, so you get credit for your one shift.
- Pay the $100 “Fall Opt-Out Fee“ (mentioned below) and no longer worry about your shift.
Who can support Randolph Athletics through working volunteer shifts: All families (PK-12) in the Randolph Community
Who is required to support Randolph Athletics each season: ALL in-season families (7-12th grade) are required to serve one shift by using 1 of 3 options above.
(NEW) Consequence if a family hasn’t acted by the deadline: the family’s child(ren) will no longer be eligible to participate with their team for practices or competitions. Eligibility will be restored once the family takes action to fulfill their requirement. If there is a no-show for a shift the family’s child(ren) will become ineligible.
The “Opt-Out Fee” is back by popular demand, Randolph Athletics is once again offering the option for families to “Opt-Out” of their volunteer duty per season for $100 (details of “opt-out” option and “Opt-out” payment link)
After you review the FAQs below, should you wish to discuss this further or if you have additional questions about the reasons why volunteers are needed, feel free to contact Athletic Operations Coordinator Angie Servick at aservick@randolphschool.net or RCN Athletics Committee Chair Bently Hess at bittibutta@gmail.com .
