What a morning for the Raiders!

Randolph Cross Country came away with a double team victory Saturday at the Kudzu Hills Invitational at Cold Springs High School in Bremen, Alabama. Both the Randolph boys and girls captured the 3A–4A Division Championships.

Every Randolph athlete competed in the varsity 5K races Saturday, including the Raiders' 7th- and 8th-grade runners, who stepped up to race the full 5K distance.

?? VARSITY BOYS — 3A–4A DIVISION CHAMPIONS

The Randolph boys placed five runners in the top 10 and scored just 34 points to win the 17-team division.

?? Randolph — 34 points ?? Montgomery Academy — 90 points ?? Haleyville — 136 points

Sophomore Brooks Johnson led the Raiders with a runner-up finish in 16:44. Senior Andrew Walker followed in 5th place (17:27), junior Wick Pfitzer finished 8th (17:34), senior Lucas Israel took 9th (17:40), and junior Josh Berkholtz finished 10th (17:43).

All five Randolph scorers finished in the top 10.

A special shoutout goes to 7th-grader Miles Coley, who stepped up to the varsity 5K distance and ran 19:34, finishing 38th overall.

The Randolph girls scored 44 points to win an extremely close team battle with Montgomery Academy by just five points in the 11-team field.

Junior Meredith Walker led the Raider girls with a 4th-place finish in 20:32.

Two of the day's biggest performances came from Randolph's youngest runners. Seventh-grader Olivia Landers finished 8th overall in 22:10, while 8th-grader Lillian Orton finished 10th in 22:33.

Junior Miriam Tidwell followed in 13th (22:44), and sophomore Katie Cofield completed Randolph's scoring five in 19th (23:38).

The boys put all five scorers in the top 10 and won the 17-team field by 56 points. The girls put three runners in the top 10 and held off Montgomery Academy by five points to win the 11-team field.

Two team championships. Eight Top-10 finishers. 36 Raiders across the finish line.
