It’s Randolph Invitational Week! This Saturday, October 14 runners from 5 different states in the southeast will descend into the 256 to race on the fastest cross county course ever… John Hunt Park!

The Third Annual Randolph Invitational will host 56 schools with over 1,000 runners entered in the event. John Hunt Park is no stranger to cross country athletes. It plays host to the Running Lane National Championships as well as the ever-popular Southern Showcase.

Randolph Cross Country coach James Terwilliger is looking forward to seeing some fast times this Saturday at John Hunt Park. “John Hunt Park has had the fastest high school cross country times ever run and we hope this weekend that trend continues! We have over 50 schools this year with 20 of those schools coming from out of state. Flagler Palm Coast High School from Palm Coast, Florida, is traveling almost 600 miles to attend this event. With over 1,000 athletes at this event, there is no doubt fast times and great memories will be had.”

8:30 AM              Junior High Boys 2 Mile Race Begins (Grades 7-9 Only)

9:00 AM              Large School Varsity Girls 5K Begins (School Size of 569 or More)

9:30 AM              Small School Varsity Girls 5K Begins (School Size of 569 or Less)

10:00 AM           Large School Varsity Boys 5K Begins (School Size of 569 or More)

10:30 AM           Small School Varsity Boys 5K Begins (School Size of 569 or Less)

11:00 AM           Awards Ceremony for All Divisions
