Lady Raider Holiday Classic Set to Tip Off at Shields-Jones Athletic Complex

The holiday season brings a festive atmosphere to Raider Nation, and this year it’s highlighted by the much-anticipated Lady Raider Holiday Classic Basketball Tournament. Taking place over two action-packed days in the Shields-Jones Athletic Complex, the tournament features a competitive lineup of teams from across classifications and regions, promising thrilling matchups and high-energy basketball.

This year’s tournament will feature an 8-team, 3-game consolation bracket format, condensed into Friday and Saturday to better accommodate holiday schedules. Teams will play one game on Friday and two on Saturday. Participating teams include Randolph, Hanceville, Woodville, Huntsville Christian, Lindsay Lane, Grissom, Cornerstone, and Tanner.

Tickets are $7 for Friday’s games and $10 for an all-day pass on Saturday. Tickets can be purchased at the Gate or through GoFan.

Head Coach Zac Barringer expressed his excitement for this year’s event:
"The Lady Raider Holiday Classic has become one of the most sought-after tournaments in the area. We had over 25 coaches reach out wanting a spot in this year’s field, which is a testament to the reputation this tournament has earned. We are incredibly fortunate to host such an exciting event, and it’s a privilege to showcase our outstanding facilities and hospitality. This year’s field is full of talent, and I can’t wait to see the competitive teams on display as these teams leave it all on the court."
