Middle School and Varsity Football:
The Middle School football team earned their first win of the season, defeating Madison Academy 32-0 on the road. This victory marks the first for Coach Baudy and Coach Weglage this season.
Varsity football also had a strong showing, beating region opponent Plainview Bears 35-14. The win takes Randolph to 2-0 in region play as they continue their push for a region championship.
Volleyball:
Varsity and JV Volleyball faced tough competition this week, falling to Hazel Green, Madison County, Ardmore, and East Limestone.
The Middle School Volleyball A-Team remained undefeated with wins against Central and New Hope. The B-Team split their games, securing a win over Central but falling to New Hope in a closely contested match.
Cross Country:
Randolph Cross Country competed in the Large School Division at the Chickasaw Trails meet. In the Varsity Boys race, Lucas Israel narrowly finished ahead of Eli de Oliveira, with both posting times of 17:41. Keaton Schroer, Andrew Walker, and Wick Pfitzer completed the top five for the Raiders, who placed 18th as a team. McCallie won the team event with 57 points.
In the Varsity Girls 5km, Anna Ragsdale led the Raiders, finishing 27th with a time of 19:58. The team placed 17th overall, with all runners posting season-best times.
In the Boys B Team race, Landon Lee led the squad with a time of 18:59. For the Junior High races, Mia Shah was the top finisher for the girls, placing 94th in the 2.1-mile race with a time of 16:05, narrowly ahead of Lily Pfitzer. Tucker Lee led the Junior High Boys, finishing in 13:31 and placing 99th overall.
