Volleyball
The Randolph Raiders had a mixed week on the volleyball court. The Varsity team faced a tough opponent in Westminster Christian and suffered a setback with a 0-3 loss. Despite the defeat, the team remains optimistic as they look to bounce back in their upcoming matches tomorrow at Athens Bible.
On a brighter note, the Junior Varsity squad had a stellar performance in Coach Laura Taube's debut, securing a convincing 2-0 victory.
Football
The Raiders football team faced a challenging game against West Morgan, ending in a 31-0 loss. The squad will regroup and focus on improvements as they prepare for their next matchup this Friday night as they travel to Madison Academy.
Middle School Volleyball
Randolph’s Middle School Volleyball teams delivered strong performances in their matches against JP2. Coach April Wiggins kicked off a great start in her second season leading the Raiders. The A-Team dominated their game with a decisive 2-0 win. The B-Team also emerged victorious with a gritty 2-0 win. They are back in action tomorrow as they host Madison County in the Shields-Jones Athletic Complex on the Garth Campus.
Cross Country
The Raiders’ Cross Country teams showed impressive results at the Bob Jones meet. The Varsity Boys finished 2nd overall, led by Lucas Israel who finished 10th with a time of 10:56.
The Varsity Girls had an outstanding performance, with Anna Ragsdale leading the Raiders to a 1st place finish. Ragsdale crossed the finish line in 2nd place with a time of 12:21. Meredith Walker and Lucy Zhang also earned top 10 finishes, contributing to the team’s overall victory. Their strong performance sets a high bar for the season.
The final race of the day was the Junior varsity girls. The girls finished 2nd overall receiving a team trophy!
Swim & Dive
The Swim & Dive team competed at the HAC in the Huntsville High Invitational meet, with official results and times pending. Stay tuned for updates on Raider Swimming!
