The Randolph Raiders football team is gearing up for another season. With any new season comes fresh faces. Enter Rookie Freshman Will Perkins. Will is preparing to make an impact on the gridiron under the Friday Night Lights. Perkins will be competing for a starting spot on the defensive side of the ball at Linebacker. His versatility doesn’t end there—he's also expected to be a key contributor on special teams and add depth on the offensive side as a wide receiver.

Head Coach David Lloyd has been impressed with Perkins' transition to the varsity level. "Will has done a great job fitting right in at the varsity level. We are looking forward to watching his growth and development," Lloyd said.

The Raiders are coming off another great season last year, marking their fourth consecutive playoff appearance. With the season opener against 4A powerhouse West Morgan on the horizon, the team is looking to start strong. Perkins’ performance on both sides of the ball could be crucial as the Raiders aim to build on last year’s success with the goal of getting back to the Playoffs.

Catch Will Perkins and the Randolph Raiders this Friday night as they kick off their season at SportsMed Field on the Garth Campus. Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m.
