BASEBALL SEASON IN REVIEW

Baseball Season in Review

RANDOLPH ATHLETICS

Matthew Smith | 5/14/2024

The Randolph Raiders baseball team dealt with a long list of injuries this season that forced several players to play out of position for the sake of the team. While the Raiders did struggle to find consistent success, they did flash signs that the program is headed in the right direction. The Raiders pulled off victories over playoff opponents in Wilson and Priceville and also recorded a win against West End.

The Raiders were led at the plate by Thomas VonAhlefeld who batted .370, with 17 runs and an OBP of .442. Ryan Martin, Keaton Schroer, and Andrew Smith each recorded victories on the mound.

The Raiders team only graduates 3 senior players (Dane Miller, Andrew Smith, and Thomas VonAhlefeld) so the future does look bright. We want to thank each of our seniors for their contributions to the program and being great leaders to all of our underclassmen. The Raiders program is in a better place thanks to their hard work and dedication.

The JV Raiders wrapped up the season with a record of 5-5.
