Today marks a momentous occasion for the Randolph School community as we proudly announce that Ashlyn Hafley has signed her Letter of Intent to play basketball at Millsaps College. Ashlyn's exceptional talent and commitment to Basketball not only opened up this opportunity for her to continue playing at the next level, but she also made a big impact on the program here at Randolph.

Randolph Head Girls Basketball Coach, Zac Barringer, expressed his sincere gratitude for what Ashlyn has meant to the basketball program by stating, “Ashlyn’s love of the game is contagious. When I first arrived at Randolph, I was blown away at her passion and her drive. Playing basketball at the next level is a great accomplishment. I am so thankful that I was able to be a part of her journey. I am excited to watch her grow at the next level.”

Ashlyn’s career will go down as a memorable one. She is the All-Time Leading Rebounder with 743 career boards. She also has the most rebounds recorded in a single game with 17. She finished with 997 career points, 196 steals, and 141 blocked shots. She was the 2023 National Council Inductee for Catch 23 Athletics, a Two-Time All-Area Team Member, and a 2023 Huntsville Times All-Region Honorable Mention reward recipient.

Ashlyn shared her excitement, stating, “It feels really good just to know that it is official and that all of my hard work over the years has paid off.” When asked what made her choose Millsaps, she replied,”I picked Millsaps because the coaching staff really made me feel wanted throughout the recruiting process. They just kept trying to build that relationship with me. That was very important. I also think their playing style is somewhere that I will fit well into.”

Millsaps Women’s Head Coach, Justin Leblanc, had the following to say about Ashlyn, “We are very excited to have Ashlyn join our program! Her toughness and versatility will be a great asset within our team. She is an exceptional student athlete who will be a great fit both on and off the court here at Millsaps!”

Barringer also had the following to say about Hafley, “We always talk about leaving our mark within our program. I am confident that Ashlyn has left a tremendous legacy here for our girls basketball program. When people think of Randolph Girls Basketball, I am sure that they will think of Ashlyn for years to come.”
