Auburn Tennis Signs Alana Boyce

AUBURN, Ala. – Alana Boyce signed a national letter of intent to play at Auburn beginning in the fall of 2024, head coach Caroline Lilley announced on Tuesday.

"Alana is one of the best competitors I have ever seen at the junior level," said Lilley. "Megan (Falcon) and I have watched her for years, and we always said we had no desire to be on an opposing team playing Alana Boyce. She has that intangible grit that cannot be taught, coached or learned. Coach Eddie Jacques in Huntsville has done a tremendous job of establishing a sound fundamental base to build on.

"She is deliberate and authentic. Two characteristics that align with our core values. Throughout the recruiting process one thing remained consistent: Alana resiliently rises to every challenge presented to her."

Boyce, a blue-chip recruit, is the No. 17 recruit in the nation and the top recruit in the state of Alabama according to Tennis Recruiting Network.

The Huntsville native was the line No. 1 AHSAA state champion in both singles and doubles as an eighth grader and a 10th grader at Randolph High School and was named the 2021 Alabama Tennis Player of the Year.

Boyce also won a bronze ball at the USTA Girls' 18s National Clay Court Championship earlier this year and finished runner-up at the USTA Level Two National Singles Girls 18s.

Boyce and Ashton Bowers, the other member of Auburn's 2024 signing class, will arrive on the Plains prior to the 2024-25 season.
