Greetings Raider Nation!

Our cross country and football teams ended their postseason play this week. Bowling and basketball will be in action this week. Indoor track and field and wrestling have begun practices and will start competitions very soon. Here’s a brief rundown of what’s coming up this week and how a few of our fall sports team concluded their seasons:

Our cross-country teams competed well at the Class 6A State Championships. The boys finished 7th overall and the girls placed 12th. Anna Ragsdale, Evan Shields, and Wright McManus all earned All-State honors.

The Randolph Raiders Football team lost their AHSAA State Playoff game to Corner High School by a score of 42-21. The Raiders finish the season with an overall record of 6-5.

Swim and Dive will prepare for Sectionals on Friday, November 17 and Saturday, November 18.

Our bowling teams are back in action this week picking up a win against Westminster. They have a JV COED match against Sparkman and the girls team will face off against Huntsville High School.

Our JV and Varsity Girls Basketball teams were back at it this week. Both JV and Varsity teams dropped games against Fort Payne. The Varsity girls fell to 0-4 on the season with a tough loss to Oakwood by a score of 40-33. The Raiders are at home on Thursday, November 16 against Central-Florence.

The JV and Varsity Boys Basketball teams got their season started on Tuesday, November 14 against Oakwood. The JV boys picked up a 45-40 win over Oakwood. The Varsity boys
Both teams are at home on Thursday, November 16 against Central-Florence.

We appreciate your continued support for our student-athletes. Your presence at the games, races, and matches, and your enthusiasm truly make a difference. Wear your Raider gear, bring your noise, and show our Raiders the love they deserve.

Here's to a week of competition, camaraderie, and Raider excellence!

Hatfield Era Starts with Big Win

The Trey Hatfield era for boys’ basketball started off with a bang. The Randolph Raiders (1-0, 0-0) won their opening game of the season over the Oakwood Mustangs (2-2, 0-0) by a score of 63-59.

Coach Hatfield had this to say about his first game as Head Coach, “that win was a great way to open our season. It was an incredibly hard-fought game against a team that played for a state championship last season. We had a lot of key contributors from players across the board. Our guys found a way to close it out in a great home environment.”

Hunter Wiggins was one of those key contributors. Wiggins led all scorers 23 points. Garrett Trousdale added 14 points and Grant Enfinger totaled 12 points.

The Raiders are back at home on Thursday, November 16 against Central-Florence. Tip-off is set for 8:00pm
