Raiders Use Big Second Half to Down Madison County 46-26

The Randolph Raiders used a big second half to complete a 46-26 region victory over the Madison County Tigers.

The Raiders offensive and defensive lines controlled the line of scrimmage for most of the night. The Raider offense totaled 586 yards with 385 yards coming on the ground. The defense tightened up in the second half and only allowed 6 points.

The defense was led by William Collins who had 18 total tackles, 1 sack, and 1 tackles for a loss. Thomas vonAhlefeld added 9 tackles and 2 tackles for loss. Hunter Wiggins and Davis Killingsworth each had 6 tackles. Wiggins added 1 sack and 2 tackles for loss. Roan Campbell had in interception for the Raiders.

Offensively, the Raiders ran the ball with authority against the Tigers' defense. William Collins had 186 yards and 2 touchdowns on 16 carries. Graham Batey had 5 carries for 127 yards with 2 touchdowns including an 82-yard burst in the second quarter. William Mitchell threw for 201 yards with 3 touchdown passes. Noah Gaunt had 8 catches for 134 yards and 1 touchdown. Hunter Wiggins added 2 receiving touchdowns.

The Raiders, now 3-1 in region play, will travel to Grant, Alabama on Friday, October 13 to take on the DAR Patriots.
