The Girls Golf team heads into the new season with confidence after reaching sub-state as a team for the first time in four years. While four seniors graduated, the program returns a solid core of seven players and adds five newcomers ready to make an impact.
Leadership will come from Katherine Heard, Lilli Fears, and Camille Calloway, all key contributors from last year’s sub-state run. Their experience and consistency will be important as the team looks to build on last season’s success.
Head coach Andrea Logan is encouraged by the team’s growth and the competitive culture being built within the program. “I’m really excited about where our girls golf program is headed,” Logan said. “This group pushes each other every day and continues to get better.”
The Raiders open the season with a nine-hole tri-match on Thursday, February 19, followed by their first tournament at Terri Pines on February 23. These early events will help the team gain experience and confidence.
With a strong mix of returning players and new talent, the Girls Golf team is focused on improving every match and continuing to move the program forward this season.
