Randolph Raiders Wrestling will compete in the AHSAA State Championship Tournament at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Alabama, from Thursday, February 12 through Saturday, February 14.
Four Raiders have qualified to compete at the state championships: Will Crocker, Mihai Stroe, Garison Ward, and Bryce de Oliveira.
Will Crocker (22-4) has qualified for the state tournament for the third consecutive year and is aiming to capture his first state title this season. He earned his spot by finishing second at Super Sectionals in Birmingham last weekend.
Bryce de Oliveira (13-9) has qualified for the state tournament for the first time. A first-year wrestler, Bryce is looking to finish his season strong. He secured his place at state with a sixth-place finish at Super Sectionals.
Garison Ward (20-2) has also qualified for state for the first time. A three-year wrestler, Garison is seeking his first state title after placing third at Super Sectionals.
Mihai Stroe (23-6) qualified for the state tournament in his first full season of wrestling. Last year, his season was cut short due to injury. Mihai earned his state berth with a second-place finish at Super Sectionals and looks to make an impact this week in Huntsville.
