As summer comes to a close, the Randolph swim and dive team is gearing up for another competitive season in Class 1A-5A division. The Raiders open their season on August 24th at the Huntsville Aquatic Center (HAC), looking to build on last year’s success and take their program to the next level.
Leading the charge is senior Judd Lunsford, a standout swimmer known for his hard work and determination. Last season, Lunsford set two school records at the AHSAA State meet, and he's poised to be a top contender throughout this year’s regular season and beyond.
Lunsford is joined by a strong supporting cast, including Abby Banks, Austin Shadinger, and Andrew Derrick. Each brings valuable skills that will play a critical role in the team's efforts in both individual events and relays. Coaches are eager to see how these athletes progress and push for personal bests this season.
The Raiders' season will peak at the AHSAA State Championships on November 22-23, where Randolph aims to make a serious run at top honors.
