The Randolph Raiders Cross Country team is gearing up for yet another challenge as they travel to Palmer Park for the upcoming Huntsville Metro Championships on Wednesday, October 18, starting at 2:20 PM. After a remarkable performance at the Randolph Invitational, the Raiders are eager to hit the trails once again and leave their mark on the local cross-country scene.


The Raiders are determined to build upon their recent success and are looking forward to turning in some fast times at Palmer Park. This course will be the same course used for our AHSAA 6A Section 6 Championships course on Thursday, November 2nd. That meet decides who gets to compete at the state championships.


The Huntsville Metro Championships (Fall-cross country and Spring-outdoor track & field) are for all AHSAA member schools within Madison County. It’s for all divisions, public, private, and county schools. It’s more of a local rivalry meet where some kids compete against brothers and sisters that go to different schools, neighbors, kids who go to church together, those who are on the same summer swim team. It’s put on by a collection of coaches and schools from within the Madison County area.
