For the second consecutive season, the boys baseball team has earned the title of Area Champions! In a highly anticipated series, they defeated area rival JP2 in three games.

Randolph and JP2 were both undefeated in the area coming into the championship series. The Raiders came from behind to seal Game 1 with an 8-3 victory in front of the home crowd. Ryan Martin went the full 7 innings on the mound to earn the win. Liam Tomalty, Jaxton Bennett, and Jack Reeves all collected multiple hits in the win. Reeves added a home run in the fifth inning.

The Raiders dropped Game 2 as the Falcons hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh to claim a 4-3 victory. The deciding Game 3 featured Lucas Israel on the mound for the Raiders. Seven innings wasn't quite enough to decide a winner. In extra innings, the Raiders scored 9 runs in the top of the eighth inning to secure 14-6 victory. Israel notched the win throwing all 8 innings.

Liam Tomalty finished the series batting .417 with 4 stolen bases, 5 runs scored, and 3 RBIs. Seniors Jaxton Bennett (.400) and Jack Reeves (.384) also had a strong series to help the Raiders earn their second consecutive area title.

The Raiders will now look to the AHSAA State Playoffs as they are set to host the Plainview Bears in the first round on Thursday, April 23 and Friday, April 24. Thursday, April 23 will be a double-header scheduled for 4:30pm and 7:00pm at Lanier Field on Randolph's Garth Campus.
