The Raider Varsity Track and Field teams competed in the final day of competition at the “AHSAA 5A Section 4 Outdoor Track & Field Championships” this past Friday and Saturday, April 26th and 27th at Trammell Stadium in Scottsboro, AL.
As a team they finished the sectionals with 20 new personal records and 3 new school records. After the last day of competition on Saturday, the girls finished 5th overall among 14 other scoring teams with a score of 60 points. Arab High School won with 180.70 points and Scottsboro High School came in 2nd with 168.50 points. The boys finished the two day competition in 4th place as a team with a score of 46 points. Scottsboro High School won the sectional championship with 248 points and Arab High School finished behind in second with 89 points.
We are truly proud of all of the athletes that competed at sectionals. You all did an amazing job.
